Frequently Asked Questions
-
We offer once- or twice-daily visits, depending on your preference and your cat’s needs. If your cat requires medication or you’d simply like them to receive a little extra TLC, we’re very happy to visit twice a day.
-
A standard visit lasts approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on how receptive your cat is to playtime, strokes, and cuddles.
During each visit, we will:
Provide fresh food and water
Clean and refresh the litter tray
Spend quality time playing and offering affection (if your cat is happy to engage)
If your cat is shy or prefers to hide, we will gently encourage interaction where appropriate. However, if they seem content in their safe space, we will respect that while ensuring they are comfortable and well.
-
Yes. We are experienced in administering basic medication (excluding injections). We ask that you provide clear, detailed instructions and we are always happy to discuss your cat’s individual needs to ensure they are cared for properly.
-
We completely understand this concern. All The Cosy Cat Club sitters are DBS checked, and we treat your home with the utmost respect. If there are rooms you prefer us not to enter, we will of course honour this.
-

-
If your return home is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate additional visits, subject to availability.
Any extra visits will be charged at our usual rates. Your cat’s welfare will remain our top priority until you return home.

Once we’ve met you and your cats and everyone is happy to proceed, we will email you an invoice outlining the services and total cost.

-
No. Your cat’s wellbeing is our top priority and going more than 24 hours between visits could pose a risk if your cat becomes unwell or if any issues arise. For both your peace of mind and ours, we visit daily throughout the booking period.
-
This depends on your cat and your personal preference. Cats can behave differently when their owners are away, and some may not always be indoors during our visit times.
While we do our best to see your cat on every visit, we cannot be responsible if a cat does not come when called. That said, some cats may become stressed if the cat flap is locked. Ultimately, this decision is entirely yours and we’re happy to discuss what may work best for your cat.
